"A Beavis and Butt-head Christmas" (also known as "Beavis and Butt-head Do Christmas") is the second Christmas special for the MTV animated series Beavis and Butt-head. It consists of two parodies of Christmas-themed stories starring the characters, along with additional segments. It originally aired on December 19th, 1995

Synopsis

"Huh Huh Humbug"

In this parody of A Christmas Carol, Beavis, now the Scrooge-like manager of Burger World, is visited by a trio of ghosts - Tom Anderson, Mr. Van Driessen and Coach Buzzcut - while trying to watch a porno. Butt-Head plays the Jacob Marley role, while Principal McVicker takes on the Bob Cratchit role as a Burger World employee.

"It's a Miserable Life"

In this parody of It's a Wonderful Life, Butt-Head (in the George Bailey role) is visited by his guardian angel Charlie (essentially a renamed Clarence), who shows him that everyone in Highland would have had a better life if he was never born, including Beavis (in a Mary Bailey-esque scenario.)

"Letters to Santa Butt-Head"

Two separate segments, where "Santa Butt-Head" reads real letters mailed to him by fans, which were sent following advertisements during 1995 episodes of the series. Beavis played Santa Butt-Head's reindeer, and the target of his abuse, especially during letters meant for Beavis.

"Seasons Greetings"

Beavis & Butt-Head sit around the fireplace and talk about Christmas traditions, to predicatable results. These previously aired as part of A Very Special Christmas With Beavis and Butt-head in 1993.

Availability

The special was made available on VHS on September 17, 1996, and was then released on DVD on October 1, 1997. This release also included four music videos ("The Little Drummer Boy", "Xmas In Hollis", "Zat You, Santa Claus?", and "Merry Christmas (I Don't Want to Fight Tonight)") from A Very Special Christmas With Beavis and Butt-head, though the "Letters to Santa Butt-Head" segment was shortened with two removed letters. In 2002, the special was then featured on one of Time-Life's The Best of Beavis and Butt-head DVDs, along with the series' Halloween special, "Bungholio: Lord of the Harvest". The special was later included on the Beavis and Butt-head: The Mike Judge Collection, Volume 3 DVD set, released by Paramount Home Entertainment on August 1, 2006.
