Here's another classic piece of Christmas-time schlock. This time it's the abysmal 1986 TV-movie "Babes in Toyland", which you've probably at one point or another seen 5 or so minutes of while flipping channels.
This cheaply made travesty features a young Drew Barrymore (Lisa Piper, a young illegal alien who has found herself unwillingly thrust into Toyland) and Keanu Reeves (the enigmatic but still frighteningly bland Jack Be-Nimble) helping Pat Morita (yep, Mr. Miyagi himself) playing the "Toy Master" defend Toyland from a flamboyant cake-destroying goth-emo and his army of evil Christmas trees.
In this sequence, you get to hear Pat Morita sing. Badly. About what? Believing in toys. And this apparently gives young Drew Barrymore psychic control over Pat Morita's standing army of mobile, fully-armed toy soldiers that he's apparently been keeping in cold-storage. The toy soldiers then march out, ready to kick some ass.
This movie gets worse that this. Dumber than this. FAR dumber. Trust me. More from this made-for-TV trash-pile to come very soon.
Happy holidays from AwesomeDude898 to you!
