Chip Potts is a character from the 1991 Disney animated feature film Beauty and the Beast. He is Mrs. Potts' son who, as a result of the curse placed on the castle, was transformed into a teacup. He is shown to be adventurous and constantly curious about the world around him. He is a cheerful and active young boy and (like Mrs. Potts and friends) is shown to have a great fear of the Beast's temper. Originally intended to have only one line in the original film, the filmmakers were impressed with the performance of his voice actor, Bradley Pierce, and expanded the character's role significantly.
