General Ticker is a character from Rudolph's Shiny New Year. He is a real clockwork soldier (literally; he is a sentient military clock) who speaks in rhyme, sent by Father Time to assist Rudolph in his trek across the sands of time. He guides Rudolph to the edge of the desert where they meet The Great Quarter Past Five. From there, they all make their way to Father Time's castle while evading the clutches of Aeon the Terrible.
