King Awgwa is a villain from the L. Frank Baum book The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus and its 1985 animated adaptation by Rankin/Bass. As his title suggests, he is the leader of the Awgwas, evil creatures that had the power to influence human minds.
On Claus' trips to the village to bring the children their toys, King Awgwa and his followers turn invisible and steal the toys. After preventing Claus from delivering his toys for a few trips, Claus informs The Great Ak and he declares war on the Awgwas. In the war, the inhabitants of The Forest of Burzee battle the Awgwas. With the use of The Great Ak's Mighty Axe, the Awgwas are defeated, and order is restored.
