Scratcher is the secondary antagonist of Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July. He was going to be one of Santa's reindeer, but was fired due to constantly stealing presents and eating candy canes. After Rudolph became a member of Santa's team, Scratcher was sent to live in the Cave of Lost Rejections.
During the events of the film, the wicked wizard Winterbolt recruits Scratcher to assist him in his plans and sends him to the Circus by the Sea, where he has just tricked Rudolph and Frosty into going to. Once at the Seashore, Scratcher tricks Rudolph into helping him steal the money the circus has been making and giving it to the evil carney Sam Spangles. After Rudolph's nose goes out as a result of this, Scratcher returns with Winterbolt to the North Pole.
While both Winterbolt and Sam Spangles are later defeated onscreen, it is never shown nor mentioned what happens to Scratcher. Presumably, he was sent back to the Cave of Lost Rejections.
