Scooby, Scrappy, and Shaggy posing as "Santa's elves".

Scooby, Scrappy, Shaggy, Daphne, and Fred are helping Tiny Tina and the other young residents of a children's home put on a Christmas pageant when Winslow Nickleby and his pet cat, Snowball, arrived to buy the building back today. Despite this, the show still went on with Shaggy as Scrooge and Scooby as The Ghost of Christmas Past. They suddenly spot a ghost named The Ghost of Christmas Never, who wanted to get her revenge of the gang, so the gang decides to snoop around.

Inside, they discover that the theatre was a mess, and Daphne finds a lapel pin with initials, W.N., on it, which stand for Winslow Nickleby. They needed to go to his house to tell him about the ghost. Scooby and Shaggy refuse until Mrs. Featherwig reminds them that Mrs. Muffinstuffer, the Nicklebys' cook, baked some cookies for them.

At the Nicklebys', Mrs. Muffinstuffer gives the gang nine dozen cookies as Scooby, Scrappy, and Shaggy bake more. They meet Nanette Musette as she informs them that Winslow was at the library hatching his evil plan to take over the children's home, making Fred decide to sneak around and listen in.

The gang listens to Winslow hear that his uncle left behind a priceless emerald at the children's home, making them look around. Scooby, Scrappy, and Shaggy dress up as chimney sweeps and look around the chimney as Scrappy finds a letter.

Back at the children's home, the trio shows Daphne and Fred the letter that read, "On Christmas Eve, your goal's not far. The emerald rests in the pageant star," which made Daphne remember the golden star in the attic. The gang goes up the attic and Scooby and Shaggy find The Ghost of Christmas Never as they accidentally jump out the window.

Part II[]

As the episode continues, Scooby and Shaggy were about to fall off a roof after discovering The Ghost of Christmas Never, Daphne and Fred try to help them until Scrappy, who has the star, comes to their rescue as the trio heads into a chimney. When they got down, dressed up as Santa Claus and his elves, they finally bag The Ghost of Christmas Never, even though she sticked her legs on the bag to escape.

Just as the trio were about to show Daphne and Fred, they discover that The Ghost of Christmas Never disappeared, even though they still have the star, but without an emerald inside. Winslow pops up unexpectedly to sell the children's home, and it was up to the gang to save it.

That night, the gang gets ready to do the show, and Tina remembers what she had to do. During the show, Winslow goes on stage to get the emerald, making the show go out of control until Tina saves Snowball. During intermission, the Ghost of Christmas Never shows up again to get the nutcracker, so the gang catches up with her. As Scooby and Shaggy catch the Ghost of Christmas Never, Daphne unmasks her, which happened to be Nanette.

The next day, on Christmas Day, Fred reveals that Nanette decided to steal the emerald after overhearing Winslow talking about it as they held the pin upside down when it was supposed to be N.M. for Nanette Musette. Just then, Winslow and Snowball show arrive to tell everyone that they found the Christmas spirit and the document that condemned the place as he rips it up. Scooby pops up in Tina's present as the chores sings, "Scooby-Dooby-Doo" before the episode fades out.
