Eugene Harold Krabs is one of the main characters from the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. He is a penny-pinching crab who is the manager of the Krusty Krab restaurant, where SpongeBob and Squidward work.

Appearances in Christmas specials

SpongeBob SquarePants

In the series' first Christmas episode, "Christmas Who?", Mr. Krabs is very interested when SpongeBob tells him about Santa Claus, saying "Any fella who's givin' away free stuff is a friend of mine!" He writes a letter to Santa, saying that he wants a pony with saddle-bags full of money. Later, Krabs can be seen singing "The Very First Christmas", during which he is shown giving a fruitcake to his business rival, Plankton.

Mister Krabs in stop-motion

Mr. Krabs rendered in Rankin/Bass-style stop-motion animation, as seen in "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!"

Mr. Krabs appears again in the series' second Christmas special, "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" At the beginning of the episode, he is shown decorating the Krusty Krab, saying that Christmas is his favorite time of the year (though he mistakenly thinks it is about getting). Later, he is the first victim of the crimes caused by Toybob, an evil robot made by Plankton to frame SpongeBob. When Santa Claus gives the Krabby Patty secret formula to Plankton as a result of thinking everyone in Bikini Bottom is naughty, Krabs demands to know how Santa got his hands on it. At that point, his daughter Pearl points out to him that Santa's elves are stealing his wallet from his pockets. After Plankton's scheme is exposed, Krabs grabs the secret formula back from him.

Other Christmas productions

Mr. Krabs also made brief appearances in the Merry Nickmas interstitial shorts. He and two identical crabs perform a song on stage in "Holiday Party", and he also makes a cameo at the end of "A Chuckie Finster Christmas, Channukah, Kwaanza, Winter Solstice" to advertise Dork Krabby Mint Patties (a parody of York Peppermint Patties).
