The Doctor of the North Pole is a grouchy old man who serves as Santa Claus's personal physician.
Reminding the jolly soul of the pneumonia he caught last year, the doctor recommends that Santa stay in bed this year and call Christmas off. He inserts his opinion and states that nobody really cares about Christmas or Santa anyway; that the people of the world have probably forgotten about him.
Despite the protestations of Mrs. Claus to the contrary, the doctor leaves Santa in her care with a sarcastic "Merry Christmas."
