Regina "Reggie" Rocket is one of the main characters from the Nickelodeon animated series Rocket Power. She is Otto Rocket's 12-year old sister. Her name is a diminutive of the name Regina, which comes from the Latin and means "queen" or "of queenly attribute." Reggie is an aspiring publisher who, while no less competitive and skillful as an athlete, is of calmer disposition and greater maturity. Reggie is most noted for her "magazine" (dubbed "The Zine").
Appearances in Christmas specials
The series' Christmas special, "A Rocket X-Mas", finds Reggie and her brother, with help from their friends Twister and Sam, walking other people's dogs to raise money so they can buy an expensive longboard as a gift for their father Ray. However, the job monopolizes all of the siblings' free time, and prevents them from taking part in their dad's quirky holiday traditions. On Christmas Eve, Reggie informs Otto that they'll have to work harder that before, because she had to spend half of their earlier earnings due to an accident with a Christmas lights display. While walking the dogs, Reggie and Otto find themselves feeling guilty about not spending the day with their dad. Reggie gives Otto the sack in which they've been keeping their earnings, and despite a problem arising when Otto accidentally loses the dogs, they manage to return the dogs to their owners, get the rest of the money they need, and buy the longboard. Afterward, when she and Otto reconcile with their dad and present him with the longboard, Ray presents the siblings with old keepsakes that belonged to their deceased mother, Danielle; Reggie is given a music box that Danielle won in a women's surfing contest.
A year prior to "A Rocket X-Mas"' original airing, Reggie and her companions made a very brief cameo in the Merry Nickmas short "The 12 Days of Nickmas". As her brother sings his line in the song, she, Otto, Twister, and Sam ride their skateboards in front of their fellow Nicktoon characters.
