Shrek the Halls is an ABC special that premiered on November 28, 2007. The thirty minute show includes Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas reprising their roles from the three feature films.

[edit] Plot

The first scene is 159 days before Christmas, and Donkey is starting to prepare for it. Gradually getting closer, Donkey starts annoying Shrek until Christmas is literally here. Shrek, realizing that Fiona is relying on him, runs to the village and then gets a book titled "Christmas for Village Idiots." He runs back, and the next morning, being Christmas Eve, he is up bright and early decorating. Having no idea still what to do, Fiona helps him decorate. Right when Shrek is sitting down to tell the story, Donkey, Puss, and the gang "intrudes" on Shrek's Christmas and brings in a beautiful tree, lights, stockings, and everything else. When the party settles, and when Shrek is about to tell the Christmas story, Donkey interrupts him and tells everyone his. The story ends with him licking Shrek, thinking he is a waffle Santa. Puss in Boots tell his story and it ends with him playing with a Christmas ornament on the tree. Gingy goes, and he tells the story like Santa is homicidal. Things get out of hand when Donkey sees Shrek's book, and All the decorations in the house, Shrek's and the gangs are destroyed, and the tree sets on fire, also burning Shrek in the process. Shrek kicks everyone out, literally, and Fiona leaves Shrek to apologize. Shrek meets up and says that he never celebrated Christmas as a child. In tears, everyone sleeps over at Shrek's house, and it ends up eith him telling the Christmas story. The movie ends with Santa flying his sleigh, and Gingy running inside.
