"Sounds of Christmas Day" is a song originally written for the 1972 Hanna-Barbera animated television special A Christmas Story. It is sung during the special's opening sequence, and again during the closing credits.
Hanna-Barbera used the song again five years in A Flintstone Christmas. Here, the song plays during a montage as Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble are delivering Santa Claus's presents all over the world.
