The Flintstones was an animated sitcom which ran in prime-time from 1960-1966. The broadcast for December 25, 1964 (Christmas day) was titled "Christmas Flintstone." The plot involved Fred becoming a Santa for Macyrock's store. However, Santa's elves recruit him to fill in for the real Santa. who is down with a cold. A similar storyline was used 13 years later for the 1977 special A Flintstone Christmas
