Voyage of the Damned

"Voyage of the Damned" is the 2007 Christmas special of Doctor Who. It stars David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Kylie Minogue as Astrid Peth, with a cameo by Bernard Cribbins as Wilfred Mott, who later appears in a more substantial role in the fourth series of the show. It is set on board a spaceship replica of the RMS Titanic inhabited by extraterrestrials from the planet Sto (who are unaware of the namesake of the Titanic) a year after the events of "The Runaway Bride" on December 24-25 2008. It is the third Christmas special since the return of the series in 2005.

The characters of the episode briefly visit London, and find it deserted due to the events of "The Runaway Bride" and "The Christmas Invasion" causing people to stay away from London that Christmas. Mr Copper, an alien historian from Sto, has a degree in "Earthonomics" and makes dubious claims about the Christmas traditions celebrated by humans in the United Kingdom (whose monarch is apparently Good King Wenceslas, though the episode later shows Queen Elizabeth II as resident of Buckingham Palace) such as the dish of turkey for Christmas dinner, Santa and Mary.
